Established in 2014, The Empowerment Factory has positively impacted over 7,000 urban youth in the state’s core cities of Pawtucket, Central Falls, and Providence. Under Ahlers’ leadership, the nonprofit blends social-emotional learning, creativity, and environmental education to help schoolchildren develop crucial skills in three key areas: creativity, self-esteem, and community pride.
